Dr. David Baltimore
Overview
Dr. David Baltimore, age 70, has served as a director of the Company since June 1999. He is currently President Emeritus of and Robert Andrews Millikan Professor of Biology at the California Institute of Technology, or Caltech. From October 1997 to September 2006, Dr. Baltimore was the President of Caltech. From July 1995 to October 1997, Dr. Baltimore was an Institute Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, or MIT, and from July 1994 to October 1997, the Ivan R. Cottrell Professor of Molecular Biology and Immunology at MIT. Dr. Baltimore is a director of BB Biotech, AG, a Swiss investment company. In 1975, Dr. Baltimore was the co-recipient of the Nobel Prize in Medicine.
