Douglas L. Becker, age 42, a director since April 1999, has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Laureate Education, Inc. (a company in the education industry) (formerly Sylvan Learning Systems, Inc.) since February 2000. He is also Founder and Principal of Sterling Capital Partners, an investment company.
