Prior to becoming President and Chief Architect of New Clearwire in November 2008, Mr. West served as President for the XOHM business unit and Sprint Chief Technology Officer and President - 4G Mobile Broadband. Mr. West was appointed President - 4G Mobile Broadband effective August 2006. Mr. West was appointed Chief Technology Officer at the time of the Sprint-Nextel merger in August 2005. He served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Nextel Communications, Inc. from March 1996 until August 2005.
