Andreas von Planta has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2006. He qualifies as an independent Non-Executive Director. He is a member of the Audit and Compliance Committee and the Corporate Governance and Nomination Committee. Other activities. Andreas von Planta is Vice Chairman of Holcim Ltd. and of the Schweizerische National-Versicherungs-Gesellschaft AG, both in Switzerland, and is a member of the boards of various Swiss subsidiaries of foreign companies and other non-listed Swiss companies. He is a member of the board of editors of the Swiss Review of Business Law and is a former Chairman of the Geneva Association of Business Law. Andreas von Planta is Chairman of the regulatory board of the SIX Swiss Exchange AG. Professional background. Andreas von Planta holds lic. iur. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Basel and an LL.M. from Columbia University School of Law, New York. He passed his bar examinations in Basel in 1982. Since 1983, he has been living in Geneva, working for the law firm Lenz & Staehelin where he became a partner in 1988. His areas of specialization include corporate law, corporate finance, company reorganizations, and mergers and acquisitions.
