November 2003 UBC raises $153 million to acquire and build the capabilities for the industry's first dedicated provider of evidence-based solutions to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries. January 2004 UBC acquires MEDTAP International, a Bethesda, MD based provider of outcomes research, health economics studies, and other scientific services for the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry. May 2004 UBC acquires DataPhaseIV, a Morgantown, W.V.-based provider of information systems and telecommunications services for post-marketing surveillance, pharmacovigilance, and risk management of pharmaceutical products. August 2004 UBC acquires PharmAnalysis Group Inc., an Arlington, VA -based provider of reimbursement planning for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and diagnostics industries; PharmAnalysis Group Inc. becomes the MEDTAP Center for Pricing and Reimbursement.
