Learn Today, Design Today With Exclusive Beagle Board Sessions at Embedded Systems Conference Boston 2008

Build Your Own Embedded System (BYOES) Program Offers Attendees a Beagle Board Development Kit and Related Education Sessions

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct 08, 2008 /PRNewswire via COMTEX News Network/ -- TechInsights
(http://www.techinsights.com/) today announced nine technical sessions
dedicated to the Beagle Board as part of the Build Your Own Embedded System
(BYOES) Program at its Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) Boston
(http://www.embedded.com/boston). The BYOES program allows attendees to build
and take home a fully configured embedded system based on the Beagle Board
development kit, which they receive for free as part of their All-Access or
Five-Day Pass. The Beagle Board is a low-cost, fanless embedded development
board that unleashes laptop-like performance without the bulk, expense or
noise of typical desktop machines (http://beagleboard.org). The USB-powered
Beagle Board is smaller than a drink coaster and is based on a Texas
Instruments (TI) OMAP35x applications processor featuring the ARM(R)
Cortex(TM)-A8 core (http://www.ti.com/omap35x).

"We began a tradition at ESC Silicon Valley with our 'Learn Today, Design
Tomorrow' mantra," said Richard Nass, editor in chief of Embedded Systems
Design and editorial director of the Embedded Systems Conferences. "By
providing attendees with a complete development kit that they can keep after
the show, as well as courses dedicated to the Beagle Board, attendees will get
live, first-hand training on a fully configured and mostly debugged
development platform that they can bring back to their own lab after the show.
In short, we're empowering them down the path toward creating their own
embedded design."
