Rosum was founded by the original architects of the GPS constellation for the sole purpose of providing reliable, accurate location and timing technology that works where GPS falls short: indoors and in urban areas, where most people reside, and where most assets of value can be found. Rosum was founded by Dr. James Spilker, the co-architect of GPS, and Dr. Matthew Rabinowitz, an expert in high-precision navigation systems. Jim and Matthew deeply understand the inherent limitations of GPS, and they established Rosum to address those limitations. Jim's GPS co-architect, Dr. Bradford Parkinson, is a member of Rosum's board of technical advisors. Since then, we have developed positioning and timing solutions utilizing digital, analog and mobile broadcast TV standards, as well as hybrid solutions combining TV with GPS signals and with cellular signals.
