Marketlink, Inc.

Marketlink was founded in 1992 in Des Moines, IA, by a group of local business leaders. Initial clients were cable TV companies who had found that the telephone proved to be an effective way to offer cable subscribers upgraded services. In 1995, John Miksich, a successful Des Moines businessman, was selected as the company's new CEO. Marketlink continued building a top-quality management team and John recruited and promoted a number of experienced professionals to round out the team. In the last several years, three additional call centers have joined the Marketlink team, boosting the company call capacity by over 200%. In job-scarce rural areas, the new call centers are able to attract talented local people interested in career opportunities. The centers are all interconnected and each is within driving distance from Des Moines headquarters, helping the free flow of communications. While originally concentrated in consumer calling, Marketlink had, from time to time, been asked to manage business-to-business projects. As this type of business grew, it was decided to spin off a separate organization to handle business-to-business calls. So, in 1999, the Businesslink Division was launched.
