The company is the brainchild of its president, Joseph Gontar, a former sales executive with Rozin Corporation. With the help of his friend and company manager, the late Simon Indych, Global Optique opened for business in April 1999. What started in a small one-room office quickly grew and within a year Global Optique moved to a location six times as large as the original one.
