Downtown Bakery and Creamery

The Downtown Bakery and Creamery opened in Healdsburg in 1987. Our desire to create an old fashioned full-service bakery with an emphasis on the use of fresh, seasonal ingredients determined our extensive product line. We offer handmade, slow rise breads made from all organically grown, freshly milled flours and natural sourdough starters. We make breakfast pastries, like sticky buns, croissants, scones, and muffins from scratch, baked fresh every morning, not the afternoon before. A full coffee and tea service is available. All of our delicious desserts are made with Sonoma County butter, milk, cream, and eggs. We use local berries, peaches, apples, pears, nuts, and other ingredients, buying organically grown products whenever possible. Wedding and special occasion cakes are beautifully made by our artistic cake decorators. Special offerings to our customers include homemade ice creams and sherbets. We do not use any commercially prepared mixes, choosing instead to use the freshest cream, eggs, fruits, and other delicacies to make the best ice cream anywhere. We have a full line of ready-to-bake-at-home pastry doughs and cookie doughs. With a devotion to bringing our customers the best products possible, we have won a faithful local clientele, as well as a much wider reputation which brings us many tourists and repeat customers nationwide.
