City Pipe & Supply Corp. was established in 1942 and incorporated in 1974. In 2005, the corporation became an Employee Owned Company through the sale of the corporation to City Pipe & Supply Corp. Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The company has distribution centers in Odessa (since 1942), Abilene, (since 1981) and Weatherford, Texas (since 2005) as well as Hobbs, New Mexico (since 1983). Initially the company dealt in oil country tubular goods and production equipment. In the early 1960's the company made the transition to the industrial pipe, valve and fitting market.
