Based in Minneapolis, MilePoint.com (www.milepoint.com) was founded in October 1999 and launched in November 2000 to provide a new way for frequent flyers to redeem accumulated miles and points beyond travel awards. The company's proprietary technology allows members to easily register their frequent travel programs at the MilePoint.com site and use them as partial payment toward the purchase of over 20 million online products from a variety of merchants. Frequent traveler programs participating including Delta Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Continental Airlines, US Airways, America West, as well as American Express Membership Rewards and Hilton's HHonors program. MilePoint members can purchase goods and services from more than 200 online merchants including, Amazon.com, SkyMall, FAR&WIDE, The Flower Club, Flooz.com and Magazines for Miles.
