Always the students, two weeks ago we here at Portfolio.com asked you to submit your “wild, bold, extreme” business cards so we could see some of the outside-the-box thinking you are all capable of. And every day since then we’ve had a blast rummaging through the submissions, desperately trying to agree on a few of our favorites.

But what we didn’t count on was all the insightful tips that accompanied those cards, further complicating the task at hand.

Submissions arrived from 13 states, six countries, and one incredibly thoughtful entrepreneur who took the time to clarify he came from planet Earth.

Mindful of the advice from Dan Rubin, Moo.com's creative director, a wide variety of cards are included, ranging from the wild, bold, and extreme to the simple and direct, always keeping in mind the customer base of any given profession.

Although it wasn’t easy—and we thank all our readers who submitted ideas—after much editorial ballyhooing, we offer some of our favorites, along with the insights that made them special.
