The new CNBC/Portfolio Wealth in America survey shows a nation worried about gas prices, inflation, and whether things will get better anytime soon. Let us know your experience.

It's gloomy out there, folks. 

Last week, oil rocketed to $140.61 a barrel and the Dow Jones industrial average fell to 11,346, its lowest level since September 2006.

In their first joint survey, Condé Nast Portfolio and CNBC produced the Wealth in America report, which tallied participants' feelings on their own and the nation's financial prospects. The upshot? It ain't looking very good.
