Internet software and services stocks lacked direction Tuesday morning, as the overall market fluctuated after Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said the central bank may extend its lending efforts to investment banks.

How key Internet software and services stocks performed Tuesday morning:

Yahoo Inc. rose 24 cents to $24.15.

Google Inc. fell $2.01 to $541.90.

EBay Inc. rose 71 cents to $27.63.

Akamai Technologies Inc. slipped 43 cents to $32.03.

VeriSign Inc. fell 50 cents to $32.75.
