
Opening Glance: Electrical equipment shares slip
Shares of electrical equipment companies opened lower Friday as the broader market fell sharply amid worries over government-backed mortgage companies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, while oil prices climbed to new record highs.
Here's how some shares of electrical equipment makers are faring:
Emerson Electric Co., down 33 cents to $49.45.
Wesco International Inc., down 64 cents to $34.65.
Baldor Electric Co., up 21 cents to $34.33.
Itron Inc., down $2.22, or 2.4 percent, to $91.98.
