General Electric unit gets $30.8M Navy deal

A division of industrial conglomerate General Electric Corp. received a $30.8 million, three-month contract extension from the Navy to repair or replace engine parts for the F-18 A-D aircraft, the Pentagon said late Tuesday.

Shares of Fairfield, Conn.-based General Electric added 3 cents to $27.15 in morning trading Wednesday.
