
Closing Glance: Diversified financials drop
Diversified financial-services stocks finished Monday's session sharply lower after a Federal Reserve official said the financial markets could still get worse before they improve.
Adding to Wall Street's worries, Lehman Brothers analysts said Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac may need to raise more capital as the credit crisis continues.
How shares of some key diversified financial companies performed on Monday:
Citigroup Inc., down 42 cents, or 2.5 percent, to $16.40.
JPMorgan Chase & Co., down $1.27, or 3.6 percent, to $34.04.
CIT Group Inc., down 56 cents, or 6.8 percent, to $7.69.
Bank of America Corp., down 87 cents, or 3.9 percent, to $21.53.
