Courting Disaster
The Basics
Two four-person teams score by landing shots in their respective baskets. Body checks, trampolines, and on-the-fly substitutions add to the dynamics of the game.
The Score
Slam dunks earn three points, as do any shots made from outside the free-throw zone. All other shots score two points.
The Penalties
Double-dribbling, goaltending, and traveling are penalized with a turnover. In the event of a foul, the two players involved go one-on-one in a slam-dunk battle.
The Bounce-off
This toss—the inverse of a jump ball—starts the game. Players must wait until the ball reaches its apex. As the ball descends, they can check each other and scramble to grab it.
