Mark Stein

Previously, Stein was the deputy editor of the New York Times' Sunday Business section, where he edited cover stories and columns by writers as diverse as Ben Stein, James Fallows, Randall Stross, and Denise Caruso. He also wrote a weekly business roundup column called Five Days.

Earlier, Stein spent seven years as a senior editor in the London office of Bloomberg News, overseeing feature writing, investigations, and each day's top stories. He began his career at the Los Angeles Times, where he wrote about science and the environment, and was a correspondent in the newspaper's San Francisco bureau.

Stein graduated from California State University at Chico.
