Greenfeld has written three books, including Speed Tribes and China Syndrome, which was named one of the Village Voice's 25 Best Books of 2006 and one of the New York Public Library's 25 Books to Remember. He has been a writer and editor for The Nation, Time, and Sports Illustrated and was the editor of Time Asia. His articles and essays have been chosen for the Best American Travel Writing, Best American Sports Writing, Best American Nonrequired Reading, and Best Creative Nonfiction anthologies, among others. He is currently writing a book about his autistic brother Noah Greenfeld.
