Alexandra Wolfe covers the art world for Condé Nast Portfolio.

Previously, Wolfe was a freelance writer for publications including the New York Times and New York magazine. She was also a reporter at the Wall Street Journal, where she wrote design and lifestyle features for the Weekend Journal section. Before that, she was a reporter at the New York Observer, regularly contributing to the weekly newspaper's front page as well as its Transom and New York World sections. She is currently working on a book called American Coddle, about America's culture of entitlement.

Wolfe is a graduate of Duke University.
